CONCEPTROMEC is founded by Stéphane Bégin.

CONCEPTROMEC sets up shop in a building on boulevard Industriel in Magog, which it occupies to this day.

Development and sales of the first clip insertion equipment for automotive seals. Over time, this becomes CONCEPTROMEC’s first flagship product.

STANDARDIZATION AND GLOBALIZATION

1996

Eight years after its inception, the company looks to evolve from a supplier of automated equipment, serving regional businesses in various sectors, to a key international player in the production of automated equipment for the automotive sealing sector.

First international partnership, with a major German company, to import equipment for the North American market.

First major contract – the sale of clip insertion equipment for an American customer.

Delivery of the first high-speed automatic notching unit – the start of CONCEPTROMEC’S second major product line, intended to grow the company.

A new business unit is set up in Guadalajara, Mexico. This decision is in response to our key customers’ need for a point of service near their Mexican facilities.

Agreement with a South Korean company for licensed sales of clip insertion equipment.

Distribution agreement with an Italian company, to sell equipment that complements CONCEPTROMEC’s product offering on the North American market.
